GDLC aims at the establishment of global knowledge core groups in 25 Egyptian organizations. These core groups are going to be established in process of empowering leaders of the knowledge based economies within the Egyptian organizations. These core groups are divided into two categories.
The First category's mandate is to form a core group of five to ten people at each organization who take the lead in covering project management issues.
The Second category's mandate is to form a core group of five persons at each organization who will take the lead of shifting their organization to cope with the Knowledge era.
On forming a group with the mandate of serving project management issues at the organization. The selected group within the organization will be introduced to various project management issues and will be prepared to pass the exam of International Project Management Association IPMA.
The topics of the courses will cover the following areas:
- General Project Management
- Strategic Framework
- Control Issues
- Technical characteristics
- Commercial Features
- Organizational Structure
- People
The Second group to be formed within each organization will be the core group who will handle knowledge issues within the organization. Each of the group candidates will be prepared to be a Certified Knowledge Innovation Practitioner. Together these candidates will lead their organization through the knowledge based economy era.
The Certified Knowledge Innovation Practitioner will go through the training period required to cover an introductory phase to present knowledge. The training period will then be followed by then project preparation and practice period. The certification issues will be covered during eight weeks time and a two weeks follow up will be conducted afterwards to ensure correct implementation and result sharing after course completion.
