In fall year 2000 the global campus started delivering its second distance learning Masters e-commerce jointly with Middlesex University in London. Electronic commerce is defined as the ability to perform transactions and exchange business information between and within enterprises and other groups in the community through electronic methodologies. The recent explosive growth of the Internet has generated significant interest in the development of e-commerce.

The aim of this program is to produce graduates who are well versed in both technical and business aspects of electronic commerce. They will be able to make judgments on e-commerce projects on the basis of sound economic analysis of the strategic advantages and disadvantages of such an enterprise. They will be able to take into account the organizational consequences and regulatory constraints for a firm wishing to move into electronic commerce. In addition, they will have the technical skills necessary to implement e-commerce programs either directly, or indirectly through project management.

The program is designed for flexible part-time study and is ideal for those in full-time employment. Students take two modules (30 credits) per trimester and should finish the program in two years. Students and lecturers interact through the Internet, and locally students meet once a week in their Learning Support Centers for tutorials, support and access the library. They also interact with their professors in UK through the video conferencing sessions that are scheduled regularly. Upon successful completion of the program (180 credit points), participants will be awarded the Master of Science in e-Commerce from Middlesex University,UK

Cyber Organizations and Regulation of Cyberspace
This module studies the transition of conventional organization to the virtual organization by the application of analysis and design techniques. It also examines the regulations governing the Internet in order that students appreciate the constraints they will face in implementing electronic commerce. Problems concerning legally enforceable contracts, privacy, data protection and intellectual property are also investigated 120 Credit Points.

Economic of Electronic Commerce
In this module you will gain an understanding of electronic commerce from an economic perspective. This will be achieved by students applying economic principles to an analysis of electronic commerce in both theoretical and statistical terms. You will formulate and explain business policy in the light of the above economic analysis. You will also understand the technical environment within which electronic commerce operates. (20 Credit Points)

Online Database Systems
This module will examine the database technologies relevant to electronic commerce. Emphasis will be placed on data warehousing, data mining and intelligent agents. Students will acquire skills in multidimensional data modeling and the building of data warehouses. Computer laboratory work will cover the use of KAPPA-PC and Java Database Connectivity 120 Credit Points.

Computer Networks: Operation & Application
The understanding of the operation, capability and business usage of various types of networks and of the ways in which these issues affect one another is the aim of this course. Also to appreciate the operation of various network types within a single framework and to explore the potential capabilities for business application of Internet works and in particular of the Internet 120 (Credit Points).

People in Marketspace
This module deals with marketing on the Internet. It investigates the behaviour or people who use the Internet for various activities. It analyses these behaviours in the light of current theory in order to ascertain the needs and aspirations of those who use this medium. Finally, you will use data from your empirical work to build an effective marketing strategy for marketspace (20 Credit Points).

Internet Commerce
The World Wide Web is becoming increasingly important not only as a medium for delivering information, but also as a way of conducting business. This module explores the provision of electronic commerce on the Internet. This not only includes knowledge and experience of relevant technologies, such as JavaScript and CGI, required to implement electronic commerce, but also covers higher-level issues such as security and agent technologies. 120 Credit Points.
